Shir Hadash

Joyous Judaism is not just a blog in the virtual world.  It also exists in the real world, manifesting itself (hopefully) everyday in the form of Shir Hadash and the many activities this organization conducts.

Shir Hadash - a Jerusalem based Synagogue, Community Center and Educational Institute – was established to promote a bold and innovative vision of traditional Judaism for Jerusalem residents and visitors alike, one that is dedicated to:

1) Inspiring Jewish identity and increasing Jewish commitment through observance, study and activism that is joyous, meaningful, ethically centered and infused with hesed.

2) Encouraging the love and respect of every Jew, and the passionate pursuit of Jewish unity.

3) The rebuilding of Israel, both physically and spiritually, so that the Jewish people may best fulfill their universal mission of improving the world.
